  • Annual Giving

Annual Giving provides current-use funding to uphold the strong foundation of our school while we build for a dynamic future. It sustains our commitment to Core Values and character education that have long been the hallmark of a St. Edmund’s Academy education by supporting the day to day needs of our students and faculty.

    THE SEA FUND
The SEA Fund raises unrestricted dollars to support the current operating budget. This helps offset what tuition doesn’t cover, and allows us to direct funding to the areas of greatest need.

    THE 1947 SOCIETY
The 1947 Society, St. Edmund’s Academy’s leadership giving society, was created to honor the school’s founding and to recognize the generosity of alumni, parents, and friends who continue the school’s tradition of philanthropy. Donors who give $1,000 or above annually are recognized with membership in The 1947 Society.
    FOUNDERS CIRCLE ($10,000+)
    HEAD OF SCHOOL CIRCLE ($5,000 - $9,999)
    MEDALLION CIRCLE ($2,000 - $4,999)

    SEA12 (Monthly Giving)
SEA12 is St. Edmund's Academy’s automated monthly giving program, designed to support the SEA Fund. By becoming a SEA12 donor, you make a difference year-round through automated monthly contributions of $5 or more via credit card. After a simple one-time setup, your card will be charged automatically each month for 12 months. Whether you prefer to give a small, consistent amount or break a larger donation into manageable payments, we deeply appreciate your commitment to supporting our mission and vision!

HEAD OF SCHOOL STUDENT SUPPORT FUND
The Head of School Student Support Fund provides discretionary tuition support to current students experiencing an unanticipated financial hardship. For example, this fund provided essential support to a family facing unexpected job loss, ensuring their children continued receiving a consistent, high-quality SEA education without interruption. Each year, the Head of School will assess the landscape of our student body to determine those students who will benefit from this additional support, enabling them to continue to thrive at St. Edmund’s Academy. Students who receive this support have a proven track record of positive contributions to SEA both in and out of the classroom as well as an unwavering commitment to the Core Values for which the school stands.

    QUALIFIED CHARITABLE DISTRIBUTION (QCD)
Making a qualified charitable distribution (QCD) from your individual retirement account (IRA) is a smart way to make a meaningful difference in the lives of every student at St. Edmund’s Academy!

Beginning at age 73, retirement account holders are required to make annual withdrawals from their IRAs, known as required minimum distributions (RMDs). Those assets are then considered income and are taxable. A qualified charitable distribution (QCD) from your IRA may help you satisfy your RMD, avoid increased taxes and support your philanthropic priorities. You (and a spouse) may give up to $108,000 per person, per year. While an RMD is not yet required, you may begin making QCDs starting at 70 1/2 years old.

To get started, contact your IRA custodian to understand their process for initiating a QCD. Keep in mind that the first dollars you withdraw from your IRA count toward your RMD, even if you make a QCD later in the year. If you have an RMD, consider making an IRA gift earlier in the year to help ensure those first dollars are dedicated to your philanthropic goals while also fulfilling your RMD.

Endowed scholarship support maintains the commitment to financial aid, affordability and diversity that has been a key tenet of St. Edmund’s Academy since its founding. Support of the endowment makes a difference today and builds an even stronger foundation for tomorrow.
