After School Programs at SEA
offer families the flexibility of engaging and meaningful care for their children when the school day ends. With a variety of options from 3:25 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., many families take advantage of these programs and students are eager to spend additional time with classmates and friends.
Extended Day
During Extended Day, students enjoy a snack, work on homework, and spend time with friends.
Extended Day staff members supervise the completion of homework and can provide some learning support. Students who have music instruction or formal tutoring outside of Extended Day are escorted to their lessons at the appropriate times and can return to Extended Day upon completion. Extended Day staff members make every attempt to take children outside to play every day. In the winter, students with boots, a warm jacket, and appropriate outdoor accessories can play outside unless it’s extremely cold, and they even enjoy playing in the snow with appropriate weatherproof gear.
Extended Day is open to students in Preschool – 5th Grade and offers a daily and half-daily rate.

$2,900 - Annual rate (billed in $1,450 increments twice per year)*

SEA Explorers
SEA Explorers enrichment experiences extend learning and enhance the after school experience. SEA Explorer classes range from athletic instruction and cooking classes, to travelling programs from Pittsburgh institutions such as Phipps Conservatory and the Pittsburgh Zoo.
Class schedules change seasonally, and prices vary based on the class. Following their SEA Explorers class, students can attend Extended Day for a half-day rate, if care is needed.

Monday Classes
STEM with Jen Losego- Open to students in PreKindergarten, Jr. Kindergarten, & Kindergarten
- Class Dates: August 31-November 16 (9 sessions)
- Cost: $225
Ms. Lo looks forward to teaching STEM to young children, encouraging curiosity, problem-solving and hands-on exploration of the world around them. Through age appropriate group and individual activities, early learners will engage in fun experiences that promote STEM learning!Cheer with Emele Cammisa- Open to students in 1st-4th Grades
- Class Dates: August 31-November 16 (9 sessions)
- Cost: $225
Join Miss Cammisa to learn the basics of cheerleading! Students will learn motions, jumps, dances, and cheers. Students should wear sneakers, and pom poms will be provided. -
Tuesday Classes
Spanish with Pittsburgh Spanish Place- Open to students in PreKindergarten, Jr. Kindergarten, & Kindergarten
- Class Dates: September 1-November 17 (10 sessions)
- Cost: $250
Our Spanish Immersion program helps children develop listening, speaking, and vocabulary skills through interactive lessons and engaging activities. Students will gain confidence using Spanish in a supportive and enjoyable environment!Martial Arts with Shaolin Studios- Open to students in 1st-4th Grades
- Class Dates: September 1-November 17 (10 sessions)
- Cost: $250
Students will explore martial arts FUNdamentals through movement around five primary animals and the core principles they represent: Tiger (self-control), Crane (patience), Snake (respect), Leopard (honesty), and Dragon (discipline). Build balance, confidence, and strength of body and mind to face any challenge. All skill levels welcome! -
Wednesday Classes
Beads Galore! with Terry Orr- Open to students in PreKindergarten, Jr. Kindergarten, Kindergarten, and 1st Grade
- Class Dates: September 2-November 18 (12 sessions)
- Cost: $300
We will be using our creativity and fine motor skills to make bead creations of all sorts! Students will first use plastic beads to create jewelry, keychains, and other fun crafts like mobiles and sun catchers. Then, they will make their own beads out of various mediums to use in their own creations! We will be strengthening our fine motor skills while practicing pattern making and creative exploration!French-Speaking Adventurers with Madame Dianifaba- Open to students in 2nd-4th Grades
- Class Dates: September 2-November 18 (12 sessions)
- Cost: $300
Join us on a journey around the French-speaking world. Would you like to learn basic French reading and speaking skills and have fun while doing it? Travel with us to such destinations as Quebec, Senegal, Haiti, Polynesia and others, as we discover famous artists, legends, and crafts from each region. Every week brings a new adventure and new words to learn. -
Thursday Classes
SEA Scouts with Melissa Stiteler- Open to students in PreKindergarten, Jr. Kindergarten, & Kindergarten
- Class Dates: September 3 - November 19 (12 sessions)
- Cost: $300
Students will explore all things outdoors trying to earn different badges (stickers) each week! Some of the badges will include leaf identification, tent set-up, and bird watching.Games Club with Chyna Powell- Open to students in 1st-4th Grades
- Class Dates: September 3-November 19 (12 sessions)
- Cost: $300
Games Club is designed to allow your child to learn through play! Students will enjoy a mix of classic favorites along with newer games they may have never played before. Every game is designed to build teamwork, strategy, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, all while having so much fun they won't even realize they're learning!
Fall 2026 SEA Explorers registration will open on Wednesday, August 12.
