• When is my child eligible for a FAME scholarship for St. Edmund’s Academy?

  Students are eligible to apply in their 2nd, 3rd and 4th Grade years for admission for the following school year. Once a FAME scholarship has been awarded, the student will continue to receive the scholarship throughout their education at St. Edmund’s Academy.

• How many scholarships are available?

  Typically, St. Edmund’s Academy awards two FAME Scholarships each year. We enroll a maximum of two FAME Scholars per grade level, and the grade in which we have openings can vary each year. 

• If my child’s grade level does not have available FAME openings, should I still apply?

  This is a family’s choice since we recognize that the application process does take considerable time and effort to complete. You are welcome to apply and go through the application process so that your child will be ready for consideration in case an opening becomes available. It is not common for openings to become available.

• When and how should we apply?

  Applications for admission to St. Edmund's Academy are due by January 1st of the year your child would enroll.  In addition, you must complete the Clarity Financial Aid application by January 15th. In the Clarity Financial Aid application, be sure to select both SEA and FAME to receive your information. Finally, complete all of the steps in the regular SEA admissions process by mid-February.

• Is there a waiver for the Clarity Financial Aid Application?

  Clarity will automatically provide you with a waiver if you qualify for one.

• When will I find out if my child is admitted?

  St. Edmund’s Academy submits finalists to FAME at the end of the main admissions season in February. Students who are not finalists will be notified at this time. FAME will invite finalists and their families for an interview, then select the FAME scholarship awardees. St. Edmund’s Academy will notify families of FAME’s decision in April.

• What am I financially responsible for should my child be awarded a FAME scholarship?

  FAME students are generously supported with a $10,000 scholarship annually from the FAME program. Additionally, St. Edmund's Academy will award financial support to FAME scholars reducing a FAME family's tuition obligation to $500 annually. All FAME families are required to update their financial information in Clarity each school year. In addition to tuition, all students at SEA are responsible for a yearly $75 PTA fee, potentially a fee for the tuition payment program depending on which program the family selects, uniforms, snacks and lunches, if they choose to purchase lunch through the school's cafeteria program.
