Creativity at St. Edmunds

St. Edmund’s Academy values art education and provides a variety of opportunities for students to express their identities and perceptions of the world through visual and performing arts. With an emphasis on creative expression that both fosters individual self-esteem and cooperative learning and engagement, our arts programs are integrated into each grade level’s curriculum with art and music classes from Preschool through 8th grade. Additional opportunities are available for students with additional or specialized interest as well.

We recognize that stepping onto a stage before an audience takes confidence and courage and helps to build these skills with students in ways that apply in other areas as well. Our students perform and share their artistic vision and work in a variety of ways over the course of the year—from their grade-level performance, Upper School Fall Play and Spring Musical, Winter and Spring Concerts, and finally culminating in our Fine Arts Festival that celebrates both our Visual and Performing Arts Programs.
“Art is not about perfection.  It’s about expressing yourself and how you see the world around you.”  --SEA Student
