  • The SEA Fund - Annual Giving

    Annual giving provides current-use funding to uphold the strong foundation of our school while we build for a dynamic future. It sustains our commitment to Core Values and character education that have long been the hallmark of a St. Edmund’s Academy education by supporting the day to day needs of our students and faculty.

    The SEA Fund is an annual gift we hope donors will make each year to provide stability and consistency, supporting four essential aspects of our students’ experience:
    •  40% supports great teaching, faculty professional development, innovative curricula, and cutting-edge technology;
    • 20% enhances co-curricular and extra-curricular programs, including athletics, performing arts, signature experiences, and field trips;
    • 20% provides scholarships for a talented and diverse student body;
    • 20% helps care for our facilities, from our historic original school building to the newly renovated and expanded Center for Integrated Discovery.
  • Capital & Endowment Programs

    Capital giving to St. Edmund’s Academy, infuses resources that inspire innovation and enhancements for our school. It is the catalyst through which we are able to make significant structural, programmatic, and endowment improvements that will benefit all St. Edmund’s Academy students, now and in the future.

    Gifts to the endowment, the most enduring investments in our community, ensure that St. Edmund’s Academy has the resources needed to sustain our mission in perpetuity. A strong endowment allows SEA teachers and administrators to pursue critical initiatives that enhance our ability to blend traditions that have served our school throughout its history with innovations that will propel us into the future. Endowed scholarship support maintains the commitment to financial aid, affordability and diversity that has been a key tenet of St. Edmund’s Academy since its founding.  Support of the endowment makes a difference today and builds an even stronger foundation for tomorrow.
  • Planned Giving

    Planned gifts, in the form of bequests, trusts, and gifts of real or personal property, are suggested for donors who would like to commit to a bigger gift by combining an outright donation with deferred support. Contact the Advancement Office to discuss how you choose to leave your legacy.
  • The Head of School Student Support Fund

    The Head of School Student Support Fund provides discretionary tuition support to current students experiencing an unanticipated financial hardship. This fund ensured 100% of students could maintain their enrollment during the COVID-19 pandemic. Each year, the Head of School will assess the landscape of our student body to determine those students who will benefit from this additional support, enabling them to continue to thrive at St. Edmund’s Academy. Students who receive this support have a proven track record of positive contributions to SEA both in and out of the classroom as well as an unwavering commitment to the Core Values for which the school stands.
  • PA Tax Credit Programs

    Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC)
    The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania offers a unique opportunity for businesses in the state to reduce tax liability by contributing to registered scholarship organizations. Gifts to scholarships at St. Edmund’s Academy can generate a tax credit equal to 75% of the contribution. Two-year commitments receive a 90% tax reduction. Please visit the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development website for more information

    Pennsylvania Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit Program (OSTC)
    Like EITC, the OSTC program provides tax credits to eligible businesses contributing to an Opportunity Scholarship Organization. Business contributions are then used to provide tuition assistance in the form of scholarships at Germantown Friends School to eligible students residing within the boundaries of a low-achieving school. Please visit the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development website for more information
