Hello Friends of St. Edmund’s Academy,
After an unprecedented Spring for all of us, we are so excited to look ahead to the 2020/2021 school year!I am honored to be the PTA President for a second term. My husband Ken and I have four children. We have three college students, two were graduates of St. Edmund’s Academy (classes of 2015 and 2016). We also have a 7th grader, Nicolas, who is thriving at the Upper School! We have cherished our time at SEA, and I am excited to welcome all of you!
What I have loved the most about being the PTA President at St. Edmund’s Academy, is working with you -- our parents, teachers, staff, families, and friends in creating events for our children that are fun and memorable. I also enjoy the opportunity to honor our faculty and staff to thank them for the incredible job they do every day. The purpose of the SEA PTA is to bring us together I am committed to that purpose despite any challenges that may be ahead. All parents and guardians of children currently enrolled at St. Edmund’s Academy are automatically members of the PTA, as are the Head of School, all faculty, and Board Members.
While our traditional events may look different this year, the PTA is committed to making them happen, whether in person or virtually! It is our hope that you and your families will join us and we’d love to have you share your ideas and talents. Our events are meant to give families an opportunity to be together and to get to know one another better. We organize the running of events using committees. If you’d like to join a committee, we would love to have you! Specific information about upcoming events for the year will be available later this summer.
THE PTA IS A SUCCESS BECAUSE OF YOU! Involvement is welcomed no matter how small, and there are many creative ways to be involved! Beyond our wonderful events, there are opportunities to be a Homeroom Parent, help out in the PTA Store, volunteer in the library, or stuff envelopes from the comfort of your own couch! Finding time can be a challenge, and for this reason we can work together to find the perfect volunteer opportunity for you and your schedule. Being a PTA volunteer creates new friendships and gives you an inside look at what happens during your child’s school day.
I look forward to creating, planning, celebrating and making memories with all of you very soon!
Warmly,
Kimberly Hardin, PTA President
