St. Edmund’s Academy offers competitive interscholastic sports for Upper School students in cross country, soccer, field hockey, basketball and lacrosse. Students in Grades 2-4 may also compete on our interscholastic cross-country running team. 3rd through 5th Grade students can participate in a co-ed Saturday morning basketball clinic during the months of February and March. The clinic is designed to prepare students for the interscholastic basketball teams in Grades 6-8.
Participation is encouraged and is a hallmark of the St. Edmund's Academy experience. Students on interscholastic athletic teams are expected to attend practice on a regular basis, contribute to the welfare of the team, exhibit good sportsmanship, maintain academic achievement and effort at a satisfactory level, and follow the St. Edmund's Academy Core Values during practices and athletic events.
All students in Preschool through 8th Grade take Physical Education class. Students in Preschool through 4th Grade take P.E. four times a week while students in Upper School have P.E. three times a week. And there is plenty of physical activity for students in the Lower School in our Field House and on our playdeck.
