Payment for summer camp is based on a per week charge.

We welcome both St. Edmund’s Academy students and children who attend other schools, so please feel free to pass this information on to any families who may be interested in summer fun!

On a daily basis, the children create works of art, play interactive games, and learn about our weekly themes! The children are invited to engage in special activities, including sports skills, dance, yoga, drama, singing, and cooking classes on a weekly basis. In addition, we offer weekly field trips and field days, and special guest presenters. There is also a chance for water play and relaxing with new friends.

Summer Camp Themes

Each week’s activities will be centered on a theme. The camp will have six exciting themes for each fun-filled week.

2013 Summer Camp Themes include:

Week 1: Soar into Summer: June 10-14
Learn about birds, insects, airplanes, and other creatures, people, and things that zoom, flutter, or float through the sky!

Week 2: Aquatic Adventures: June 17-21

Explore the depths of the ocean, sail the seven seas, and splash around doing all kinds of wet and wild activities!

Week 3: Express Yourself: June 24-28

Grab your paintbrushes, microphone, and dancing shoes for an incredible week of art, musical and movement activities.

Week 4: Let’s Go Exploring: July 1-5 (No camp July 4)

Explore the environment and other lands through games, crafts, and other activities. Pretend to be in the jungle, rainforest, desert, and mountains.

Week 5: Discovering our Superpowers: July 8-12

Learning from historical heroes and characters in children’s literature, campers will think about their special talents and look at their own “superpowers.”

Week 6: Meeting New Friends: July 15-19

Pittsburgh is a city of neighborhoods, and we will learn more about them, as well as how to be a good neighbor and friend.
