INTRODUCTION LETTER FROM WILLIAM KINDLER
I am thrilled to be writing this message as the new Head of School. This chapter of my life’s book began formally on Monday, July 2, 2007. Since that day, I have been on a fast-paced learning curve with a host of accomplished task masters as my teachers. Although my knowledge about and familiarity with St. Edmund’s Academy had blossomed during the past decade, my current exposures to the life-sustaining features of this premier school are both exciting and far beyond my expectations.

OUR FAMILIES
The Guptas, originally from India, Zambia and beyond, got to St. Edmund's Academy through an "awesome recommendation." The LeGarrecs are a French-American blend with three daughters at the school. And Liza Brown, a lifelong Pittsburgher, says she and her husband picked St. Edmund's Academy by looking at the impressive role models they knew in the city - who were all St. Edmund's Academy graduates.

HARVARD'S MATTHEW MEISEL: WHAT ST. EDMUND'S ACADEMY MEANT TO ME
This month, 1999 graduate Matthew Meisel begins his junior year at Harvard. He credits St. Edmund's for helping him be "confident, analytical, creative, self-critical - and all at the same time," and that he was motivated by the "high expectations" of his teachers.
