Gift Cards

The Development office is seeking creative ways to raise funds for the School. One initiative is the Scrip program. Scrip is a term meaning "substitute money" in the form of very popular gift cards. Giant Eagle is one of the participants (yes, fuel perks may be earned and other gift cards can be purchased too). There are many other opportunities to participate such as BP, Toys "R" Us, Borders, Barnes and Noble, Eat N' Park, iTunes, Panera, Staples and Macy's.

When families purchase Scrip, they're purchasing negotiable gift cards that are used just like cash. The Scrip is issued by the national and local retailers where many of our families already shop. These merchants want to support non-profit organizations, and in return ask you to support them by shopping with Scrip at their stores.

Families can also use Scrip to purchase every day expenses like food, clothing, gas, and other essentials. Every purchase earns revenue for St. Edmund's Academy. Funds from this initiative are given to the area of greatest need.

This innovative way to shop, allows for gift cards to be purchased in the Development office for weekly grocery shopping, gift and holiday ideas, clothing, fuel purchases, office supplies, and much more! We will keep a small inventory in-house and allow parents to order. For more information, contact Marion Key or Anna Rutledge in the Development office at 412-521-1907.
