EITC

EITCApproved by the Pennsylvania legislature in May 2001, the Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program provides tax credits to companies that make charitable gifts to educational institutions for scholarships.

The program is administered by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Department of Community and Economic Development. Through EITC, a business may obtain Pennsylvania tax credits for up to 75% of its contribution to St. Edmund’s Academy in support of scholarships. The company may increase its tax credit to 90% by committing to make an identical contribution for two consecutive years.

All gifts St. Edmund’s receives through the EITC program go directly to scholarships for students.
A complete list of EITC guidelines is available at www.inventpa.com or may be requested from the Development Office at 412-521-1907 Ext. 117.

Through the EITC program, St. Edmund's Academy received gifts totaling $114,100 during 2008 - 2009 fiscal year.
