Athletics and Activities
Girls’ and boys’ sports teams excel in basketball, field hockey, soccer, and lacrosse. Students may also take part in a cross-country running team, though it’s not an official school sport.
Summer activities include weeklong “sports camps,” with intensive instruction in lacrosse, field hockey, soccer and basketball.
Each grade performs in a musical production. Upper School musicians take part in instrumental music (small group instruction), band, orchestra, as well as chorus.
Student council, yearbook, and the student newspaper provide other opportunities to lead and grow.
Seventh and eighth graders perform in an annual spring play.
Field trips to local museums and attendance at professional performances in Pittsburgh infuse a sense of the city as classroom.
